"To whom it may concern"
Thanks for the time but on your recent accusations against the Dominican
Republic alleging some human rights abuse against the Haitians you failed
to point out some basic issues besides no taking in consideration the whole
truth but instead just presented a partial report that condemn Dominicans but
never acknowledged the Haitian government responsibility on providing Haitians
what Dominican Republic can't provide since other 1st world countries like
Canada, France and United States don't want to have a large illegal inmigra
tion that Dominican Republic has to tolerate since Haitians don't have the
conditions to live like decent human beings on their own country of origin.
On the recent earthquake on 12 of January Dominican Republic was the only
country that accepted every injured Haitian on Dominican soil without asking
for any legal status or pres electing any individual while other countries in the
western hemisphere were reluctant along the way since They didn't want to
accept such a large influx of individuals; speaking of human rights in terms of
Dominican Republic granting citizenship to Haitians born in the Dominican
Republic your organization has to review the Haitian and Dominican constitution
to compare and see that Dominican Republic is applying the law according to
our constitution so the United Nations should force the Haitian government to
provide a civil registry to Haitians born and living in the Dominican Republic.
There is not country in the whole planet that is blamed more than ever by other
countries like the Dominican Republic and at this point if You want to look for
a responsible entity to blame why no placing the burden on the Haitian gover
ment for not providing the basic and human conditions to their own citizens
since Dominican Republic is still a 3rd world country and when your organiza
tion wants to apply or force the law solely to the Dominican Republic just to
benefit Haitians this is irrational, abusive and disrespectful against our laws
and constitution.
Recently the United States grant Mrs. Sonia Pierre an award and since She is
Haitian but not (Dominican) She makes a living out of discrediting the Dominican
Republic with a biased and harmful agenda which is no fair since She only says
and publish what is negative about the Dominican Republic but failed to mention
all the resources invested by the Dominican government on Haitians which use
our hospitals, work in our country and get feed too. Remember in case that You
forgot that Dominicans were forced to live the worst genocide by the Haitians for
22 years and Dominican Republic never invaded Haiti in the past.
If you want to look for somebody to carry the Haitian burden that will be first their
government for being irresponsible on providing Haitians what They need (jobs,
health, education and less corruption), also if You look at their own side of the
story in Haiti there is a clash of races between the ruling elite (Mulatos) and the
oppressed (Blacks), last but not least Dominican Republic can never be the
only responsible of Haitian illegal immigration when other nations in the western
hemisphere and Europe want to apply a selective immigration policy and don't
want the Dominican Republic to apply its own sovereign nation rules on protec
ting the border and deporting who is illegal in the country.
Why then is OK and correct for other nations to protect their borders and apply
immigration policies but then is wrong for the Dominican Republic to do the same;
so who is being discriminated here the Dominicans for being forced to accept the
UN will or the international community and Haitians for failing to accept the respon
sability of developing and rebuilding Haiti so its citizens don't have to migrate to
other nations looking to achieve better conditions that are constantly neglected
by the Haitian government and which the UN must force to be responsible of the
Haitian "HUMAN RIGHTS" misfortune no the Dominican Republic.
